The Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) School is an important element of our healthcare work as it builds a cadre of ANMs for the state, in delivering quality healthcare. Each Year, 30 Students graduate from the programme, most of them take up positions in hospitals and community health centers. The Course aims to provide experience in both theory and practical to understand the community issues and its health needs. The School has well qualified faculty members who have expertise in their respective fields. With the support of the academic staff and professionals from hospitals and community health teams, the students get a well rounded knowledge that is very practical.
The ANM School of Nursing is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and registered with Jharkhand Nursing Council, Ranchi as well as affiliated to Mid-India Board of Education, Nagpur. The ANM School signed up with Jhpiego, an affiliate of John Hopkins University, to improve the curriculum and delivery of teaching staff. Students are also exposed to Computers, Yoga and other soft skills during their stay on campus thus making them very competent while working in resource constrained environments.
